Can’t live without – FMSphotoaday Day 27

Hello my Beauties,

hope your new week has started well and you are motivated & full of energy.

Today is Day 27 of the May Photo a Day Challenge and the topic is: “Can’t live without“.
27. Can’t live without: What would you rather not live without?

It’s one of those philosophical questions, where you get to decide whether you want to answer it the smart & “indispensable” way or from the beauty and lifestyle blogger (and simply a woman’s) point of view.
Guess what – we are on a beauty journey here, so here is my short photo answer to the question, what i can’t live without. 😉
hand cream collectionWell, those of you, who are following my blog from the beginning know exactly, what a hand cream addict i am.
I simply have to have at least one tube in each handbag, on my desk, in the bathroom, in my kitchen…i guess you get the picture.

I can’t live without my hand creams.

I love those Hand and Nails treatments, like the Clarins one which is incredibly moisturizing, but also those  nice chocolate or fruity smelling ones. 🙂
Did you notice, these tubes know exactly how important they are, they even wear their impressive mustaches! 😉

I like trying different kind of hand creams from everywhere in the world. So far a have a few bulgarian, german, american, russian, canadian and israeli ones. I bet there are more to come! 🙂

What kind of hand creams do you love the most & why?
What are you beauty products you can’t live without?

Tell me your secrets.
Until next time – stay beautiful!

Sunday Pampering – FMSphotoaday Day 26

Hello my Beauties,

today we have Day 26 of the May Photo a Day Challenge and the topic is: “Favorite thing to do on sunday“.
26. Fave thing to do on Sunday: What’s your favourite thing to do on Sundays? Sleep-in? Eat out? Party? Share.

Sunday is that one day in the week, when i really love to sleep in ( i even have the slight feeling, i was a sloth in my past life…).
Besides the amazing wakeup up without the alarm clock, i treat myself with a big bowl full of fruits and berries – similar to what i told you about on Day 7 of this photo challenge. I love to start my free day with something that healthy & delicious.

But what i love the most about Sundays, is my personal weekly ritual, that i try to hold on to, as far as possible.
It’s all about {Sunday Pampering}.
Sunday Pampering bathing salts, facial mask
First of all, i really enjoy a good bath, usually using some kind of good smelling salts.
In this case – a generous gift from a dear fried, who got me the incredible lovely {
Spider Lily Bath Salt from the India Hicks Island Living® by Crabtree & Evelyn}. (Contains moisturising coconut, soybean and avocado oils) $30.00 / 34,00 €

I’ve been a fan of Crabtree and Evelyn‘s ranges for quite some time now (you might know that Wisteria is one of my all time favorite perfumes) – i can’t pass their store here in town, without going in – and the India Hicks range is simply amazing.
I know, it seem pretty expensive for “just” bathing salts, but I see it as a bit of a treat!
Of course any other nice bathing oils or salts would help the relaxing effect, but that’s the one i’m using & loving right now.
Besides, i like how sturdy the packaging is and the little sea shell scoop is a nice touch as well. Brings the beach closer to my bath tub!
Spider lily bathing salts India Hicks Island LivingAnother big favorite of mine for a good pampering session is my {
HydraQuench Cream-Mask} for dehydrated skin by Clarins.
I like to apply a good amount of it right before taking a bath and when i come out of it, i simply remove the excess with a cotton pad. My skin feels so fresh & moisturised afterwards.
I have tried many different hydrating masks on the market and since my skin is quite sensitive, i’m a picky customer. The HydraQuench Cream-Mask is definitely one of a few favorites of mine so far. The feel and look of my skin has improved since i started using it a few months ago. A 75ml tube retails here for 35 €. The 15ml i use right now was a sample from a beauty box.

My current hair shampoo is the {CALLIOPE Rescue Hair Wash for dry & flaky scalp} from the greek brand Fresh Line.
During this cold & rainy weather (yes i feel like we are back in november) my scalp tends to be dry, so i went for an effective solution – a hydrating and soothing shampoo with key ingredients like Tea Tree, Chamomile, Garlic, Neem Oil and Echinacea.
It has quite a strong herbal scent, but somehow i really like it. If also doesn’t foam too much, since it has a lot of natural ingredients in it. The shampoo cleans my hair really well and after drying it doesn’t look flat, what i personally would really hate.
What most important, my scalp doesn’t itch or burn afterwards, but feels really nourished and calmed.
The big 200ml bottle costs around 14,00 € in Europe. The bottle i currently have is a travel size of 75ml.
Fresh line Calliope hair wash, Clarins HydraQuench Cream-MaskI will not talk about my daily shower gel in this post, since i still use the {Yves Rocher Energizing Shower Gel} – Spanish Pomegranate, that i shared with you before.

As you can see i also love burning mini tea candles, while taking a bath. I don’t know if that’s a cliché, but it really clams me down and in this case it’s a {Yankee Candle Bahama Breeze}.
It’s a cool summer refreshment in this tropical blend of pineapple, grapefruit and mango.

After coming off the bath tub, i like to treat my skin with a good body lotion. Along with the Satin-Smooth Body Lotion by Clarins, i use {Kiehl’s Creme de Corps} – rich nourishing cream, that leaves my skin incredibly hydrated. I would say, that i probably like the smell of the Clarins body lotion a bit better, but over all – the Kiehl’s body moisturizer is a solid product. And in a mini version like mine (30ml), it’s a great traveling size for your vacation. A 75ml bottle retails for almost 10,00€ here in Europe.
Kiehl's Creme de CorpsAfter a nice pampering afternoon like that, there is definitely going to be a tea moment! 😉

What about you, my Beauties? What are your favorite things to do on a sunday? Share your stories with me.

Until next time – stay beautiful.

Featuring Sunshine Citizen and her Top 3 Dermacol Products

Hello my Beauties,

ones again it’s one of those days, where you find a new featured Blogger here on Beauty expression by Luchessa.
Please give this lovely lady a warm welcome and be prepared to gain a beauty friend.

Meet Flori, who has always been inspired by anything beautiful and dreamed about making a change in the world, while not necessarily making a name for herself. How humble is that!
SunshineCitizen
On her blog the Sunshine Citizen you will find great DIY ideas, recipies, beauty & hair products, as well as style posts.
I mean, look at her gorgeous & healthy looking hair – she simply has to have her “hair secrets”! Right?!
Swing over and leave Flori some feedback. You’re going to love her!

{My Top 3 Dermacol Products}

Hi, my name is Flori and I am the blogger behind Sunshine Citizen.
Luchessa generously offered me the chance to write a guest post for her and I couldn’t refuse!
Don’t you just love Luchessa?

She wanted me to showcase a Slovakian brand, since that is where I am from, but honestly I couldn’t find one. Instead I offered to do a post on my favorite products from Dermacol, an old brand started in Prague, as I have tried a fair share of their products and after all the Czech Republic is our neighbor and we once were the same country. I hope you enjoy the post!

Product No. 1
{Dermacol Makeup Cover Up}

This is a must have! Honestly, I would call this the secret weapon of the Slovak and Czech women.
Dermacol Make-up Cover lists 50% of pigments in its ingredient list, making it possible to cover up just about anything with the tiniest amount. It can be used as foundation, but let me tell you this is heavy duty stuff, which will become one of your favorite concealers.

It’s so versatile that not only can you use it as foundation or concealer, you can dilute with the moisturizing cream you use to your preferred coverage and you have a tinted moisturizer!
You get 30 g of product in a gold metal tube, which will probably last you ages considering how little of the product is needed to get the job done.
It being waterproof, smelling lovely, and having a SPF 30 are some other things to take into consideration and in my mind adjectives to add to its list of qualities.

Product No. 2
{Lip Seduction Lipstick}

Not only is the packaging of the Lip Seduction Lipstick really cute, it is the lip product I find myself reaching for to take everywhere. Press the transparent end through which you can see the lipstick and with a click the lipstick comes out of the blue metal tube.
With the lipstick being extremely hydrating and nourishing, your lips are sure to be look beautiful and plump.
The lipstick is in fact so nourishing that it has replaced my favorite lip balm.
It has made it possible to enjoy the best of both worlds; the pigmentation of lipstick and the overall luxurious feel of a great balm.
Dermacol Lip Seduction lipstickProduct No. 3
{Aroma Therapy Stress Relief Body Oil – Grape and Lime}

Not only does this smell so good, that it makes me want to make a summer drink inspired by it, it is amazing stuff!

The oil blend is very light and sinks right into the skin, leaving it soft and smooth. It is rich in vitamins so it is supposed to intensively treat and regenerate your skin. The scent of grapes and lime is rather strong, but so soothing that is does not bug me and leaves me wanting more.
The thing I love about this oil is that it doesn’t really contain a lot of chemical ingredients and it is very versatile!
It can be used as massage oil, a moisturizer after taking a bath, and even can be used in your hair care routine.
Personally, I love using it after a bath and it leaves the skin soft and since it has a thin runny consistency; it seeps right into the skin without leaving an oily film. It is definitely one of my favorite body oils I have ever tried and the scent embodies everything I love about summer.

I hope you enjoyed the post! And I would like to thank Luchessa for giving me the opportunity to write a little post for you.
Have a great day!

So my Beauties, i hope you found a new interesting brand to check out and a great fresh face in the blogosphere.
I especially liked the review on these lipsticks, since Flori somehow managed to pick out just the right “Luchessa-colors”.
And those of you know follow me for some time, know that i absolutely love vintage rose type of lip products, that are not having a  drying effect on my lips.

Here is the official Dermacol site, where you can take a look on the whole range of their products.
And here is an online pharmacy Medcentrum, that seems to be shipping internationally, in case you get interested in any of Dermacol’s products.

Until next time – stay beautiful!!

Featuring Rebecca and the Power of Cleansers

Hello my Beauties,

how are you doing these days? I hope everyone is about to enjoy a long weekend.

Today i would like you to meet a great beauty blogger: Rebecca from The Lipstick Gal.

As her blog name probably tells, she writes not only about different kind of cosmetics, accessories and nail polishes, but she is a huge lipstick fan and goes with a great motto through the day:
“When All Else Fails, Wear More Red Lipstick”. I’m sure if you ever had any “how to wear red lipstick best” questions, you will find the answers on Rebecca’s blog.
I asked her to write a guest post on her favorite facial cleansers, as this is still the time of the year, when we should take good care of our skin. And this was the result.

Hello everyone

I accidentally fell into beauty blogging. I didn’t mean to. I really did it as a way of encouraging myself to be more proactive about my physical appearance. What I didn’t expect was the amazing community of beauty bloggers I would encounter.
Today I’m very pleased to write this guest post for the amazing Luchessa! I’ve always enjoyed reading her posts, and am honored to write one for her blog.

Cleansing is one of my least favorite things to do. I’ve done my best to make it easy for myself. I’ve given myself permission to splurge on skin care items.
Last summer I purchased a Clarisonic face brush. It’s really changed the way my skin feels. I no longer get dry patches in the winter, and I don’t need to do exfoliating treatments once a week. My skin feel more balanced, and healthy. I know they’re expensive, but its an investment truly worth making. I only use my Clarisonic once a day in the shower.
Clarisonic face brushSeveral months ago I received a 2 ounce sample (59 mL) of DDF Brightening Cleanser in the mail from my sample subscription service Birchbox. I’m just about to finish up this sample, but I love how this face wash has worked for me.
It specifically works to lighten hyper-pigmentation spots.
I do have some freckles and larger hyper-pigmentation spots on my face, and it’s nice to have a cleanser that addresses those problems in the shower.

This cleanser foams up quite a bit, so I only need a small amount on my Clarisonic brush every morning.
It’s lasted me quite a while. I’m about to need a larger bottle.
DDF BRIGHTENING CLEANSERMoisturizing and putting on makeup has always been the easy part. Taking it all off at the end of the day is the hard part.
I’ve been wearing makeup for 24 years. For many of those years, I would just plop into bed without removing my makeup.
Terrible, I know…
In the past 5 years I’ve been making a concerted effort to remove my makeup and apply a night cream before bedtime.
I’d say it’s gotten a lot easier once I found
Boscia’s Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil.
I was introduced to this as a 2 ounce sample (59 mL) from Ulta. I have since moved on to the full size bottle.
Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing OilMy favorite way to use it, is to take half a pump and spread it between two hands. I start applying it to my dry face just below my orbital sockets, then take it up to my eyebrows.
I don’t want to get the majority of it directly on my eyelids, or I could get some in my eyes. So I start by spreading some of it around my eye area.
By this time, I can start applying it to my eyelids. I find that the oil keeps my fingers from creating friction and pulling my skin. The longer I massage the cleansing oil to my eyelids, the more I feel my mascara and eye makeup break down.
Once I don’t feel anymore eye makeup on my lids or lashes, I run my hands over the rest of my face to break down the foundation and powder I’ve been wearing all day.
Now, you can either splash with water or use a wet wash cloth.
I prefer a wash cloth because every time I splash with water I find that I get water everywhere. I also find that a wash cloth makes sure I clean up all the corners of my eyes.

I know the idea of a cleaning your face with an oil seems counter intuitive, but it’s really amazing.
It leaves my face feeling soft, and from start to finish, it only takes 60 seconds. I haven’t found a faster way to clean my face at night without getting myself all wet.
clarisonic DDF Boscia cleansers                                    (Images taken from the official sites)
I do have many other cleansing items in my arsenal, but these are just three of my favorites. What are you using these days to take it all off? Is there a product you swear by? I’m always on the lookout for something amazing.

Thanks again Luchessa for the chance to write this post for your blog!

That’s all for today, my Beauties. I recommend to stop by Rebecca’s blog and chat with her on Twitter.
Don’t forget to say HI from me.

Until next time – stay beautiful!

PS: Of course don’t forget to stop by my current Surprising Spring Giveaway. 😉

♥ Avene Skin Care Travel Kit ♥

Hello my Beauties,

hope you are having a lovely day so far.
Today i would like to talk about a nice little Skin Care Travel Kit, that i discovered in my local pharmacy. I don’t know if you can get Avene in drugstores where you live, but in Germany it’s mostly a pharmacy brand, such as Vichy, La Roche Posay and sometimes even Bioderma.
Avene beruhigende Pflege set travel size skin care kitWe all love mini travel sized products, since they are easy to just test out or really to have it with you on a go.
This new kit caught my eye, because it came in a really adorable girly little pouch or cosmetic bag, that you can easily throw in your purse and keep your favorite daily beauty items in it.
(The surface of the bag can be cleaned very easily with a wet towel, so don’t be afraid to just leave it on the bottom of your purse.)
Avene skin care cosmetic bag
The products inside are:

1)  Avene Thermal Spring Water (50ml) – soothes , hydrates and rejuvenates your skin after dermatological procedures or simply works as a refresher during the hot and humid summer time or helps your skin after spending time in dry heated rooms during winter.
2) Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion (50ml) – it’s for those of us with the most intolerant skin. This soap-free, soothing cleanser helps to remove dirt, oil, and other impurities. My skin feels completely comfortable after using this lotion.
3) Avene Skin Recovery soothing Cream/Mask (5ml) – soothes, relieves irritation, and protects reactive and delicate skin types. Works well as a hydrating mask when applied for 10-15 minutes.
Avene Skin Care kit
I have been using the products, since the kit came out in the beginning of february.
The cream mask is obviously already gone, since it was a really little tube. It had the usual very creamy, quite think texture to it, but i had no problems with spreading it over my face. After 5 minutes it was still a little bit sticky, but as it works also as a mask, it obviously can not be absorbed that quickly from your skin, which is fine.

There is still the half of the milky looking cleanser lotion left, because a little bit of the product on a cotton pad goes a long way, especially if i’m not wearing a heavy makeup that day, that needs to be removed. I feels really gentle and doesn’t make me break out, nor give me a rash. And you know my skin is pretty sensitive, so i’m usually really picky with my face products.

I used up the half of the thermal water, since i like to spray it all over my face, when i’m done cleansing and moisturizing. It gives such a nice fresh feel to my face. This is the kind of product i have been using for probably around 2 years now. Mostly in summer on the go. You know how humid & dirty big town streets can get, when it’s about +30°C outside. You just have to have a refreshing spray or wet little portable towels with you.

Avene Skin Care travel size kit and cosmetic bagI see people using these products with any skin type, even if it says for sensitive skin. And the small travel size bottles & tubes makes it easy to be “brave” and just test them out. Besides it would make an adorable little present for your girlfriend, sister or mom.
When i’m done with my Biodroga Institute Mask, i might be getting that Skin Recovery soothing Cream/Mask in full size, since it looks like my skin quite enjoys the soothing effect of it.

Tell me, Beauties – have you used any Avène products before? If so, which is your most favorite one and why? Have you spotted this little travel size kit anywhere in your area? I’d love to hear from you!

Until next time – stay beautiful.
