Hello my Beauties,

it’s finally friday again. We all should be doing something fun tonight, like a nice gathering with friends for a night out in the city or a girls night in, with great movies and manicure. What are you up to?

Today i would like to talk about a product, that i recently discovered, thanks to my friend Irene, the lovely Pinkiecharm on youtube. She’s got always the best news for what’s good & exciting on the market, i have to say.
So, Let’s talk Tarte 100% Pure Maracuja Oil Roller Ball.

Well, we shall see that…

What it does NOT contain:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Synthetic Fragrances
– Petrochemicals
– Phthalates
– GMOs
– Triclosan

Application (direction on the bottle): Apply oil on the go directly on face and neck for immediate hydration.

Packaging: I mean let’s take a moment to observe this packaging. How nicely is this bottle made!? I really like those details on the lid! The color combination of purple and gold is just so festive. Besides that, having a rich undiluted & cold pressed maracuja oil in a glass bottle, instead of a plastic one, keeps the product much longer fresh and gives it over all a luxurious appearance.

My general thoughts: I have been using the maracuja oil for a little bit over a week now. It’s way too little time to say anything about the long-term effects, but what i can say for sure is, that i enjoy the general idea of roller balls, when it comes to skin care products, such as the under eye serums for brightening the area or fluids to even out the small wrinkles on the forehead.
It should also be mentioned, that because of that handy packaging it’s great for carrying in your makeup bag on the go.
tarte 100% Pure Maracuja Oil roller ballThis maracuja oil has almost no scent, at least nothing i would really call noticeable.
It feels much lighter on my skin, than the Moroccan Argan Oil by Shea Terra Organics (which i like for the effect, but definitely not for the scent) or the coconut oil.
I have a few dry patches around my mouth and my nose, usually during the cold time of the year, and as it’s still winter here, the maracuja oil came really handy.

I mostly use it for those spots, but also instead of a night cream for all over my face. It’s really refreshing after i take my makeup off in the evening.
A little bit goes a long way, so you don’t really need much of the oil to hydrate your face.
It absorbs really fast and doesn’t leave greasy spots on your pillow, which was my concern, as i’m using it mostly during the evenings.
I did not get any redness from the product, nor has it made me break out.

It’s really nice to know, you are using a natural product, without many additional ingredients and it really makes your skin feel soft, look even and moisturized. And i have to admit, it looks gorgeous on my vanity. What a design!

So i would say, if you’re someone who’s currently looking for a new oil to try, this would be a great pick. Don’t worry, if you have a rather oily skin, it won’t let you feel greasy or be heavy on your face. Give it a try!
I’m happy, i have so much left, i’ll be using the product for a few more month’s.

What are your thoughts on natural oil’s in general? Have you tried the Tarte Maracuja oil before? Which is your favorite oil to use?

  1. I’ve never heard of this oil before. It sounds like a miracle oil! I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for it now!

    • I haven’t neither, it was a lucky pick i guess. I really like that there is almost no smell to it at all, as i’m always very picky with that. Try it if you find it ( i bet you can get it online ) and let me know what you think. 🙂
      xoxo

  2. It’s a wonderful product. I tend to have oily skin and it has gotten better with use. Oil fights oil!

  3. Tarte’s one of my favourite brands cause everything inside is so healthy! I’ve only seen the bottles at Sephora Canadaa, if there’s a roller ball size I’d definitely want to try it out! Thanks for the review, Luchessa 🙂

  4. I so wish we have Tarte here!! But soon, will be able to get acquainted with this product! Love their palettes as well.

This product sounds soooo interesting. And sooo affordable??? Oh my, me want! On to my wishlist now. 🙂

    • Hehe i know dear. And you’re going to be my secret spy when it comes to all the Sephora goodies in general 😉
Yes that’s what i thought – what an interesting product. Def worth to be on the wishlist!

  5. I have never heard of this oil before, it looks like its great. I do think its quite pricey for only 18mls though. I love the packaging, its lovely! xx

    • Hi Grace, you are right. It’s not a cheap product, but if you think about any pure oil that’s being sold, it simply can not be cheap, because of all the processes it has to go through. Besides as far as i know Tarte is known for it’s quality and the price range.
I’m sure there have to be other companies that sell similar products, but with the packaging, the feeling of something luxury and the application option like the roller ball, you get the whole package here. What do you think?

      • Yes you are right about pure oils. I dont have much experience with Tarte except for their blushes which do not work for me at all, I know everyone loves them, but for me they were not pigmented at all and a massive flop. Since then I have not tried any Tarte!
The packaging on this is stunning though – big puller! enjoy it sweetie xx

      • OH i know it sometimes it, ppl are raving about products, that simple do not work for you. But luckly there is a lot to pick from on the market. 🙂

  6. I’m so glad you seem to be enjoying the Tarte Maracuja Oil. It’s fantastic stuff. Unfortunately, I can’t use it all over my face as I’d like to (which you can do, although not so easily with the roller-ball *lol*), because it aggravates my ezcema. I use my own roller-ball on my dry patches though and it works well. I agree with you on the scent-I love that it’s so subtle I can barely detect it, unlike Argan Oil which tends to have a strong scent.

    ❤ you!

    • Oh my dear Irene stopped by!!
Yes, i do enjoy this product very much. You def made me fall in love with the brand & their design. It’s gorgous.
I especially enjoy the fact, that it comes with a roller ball, because it gives my skin an extra cooling effect. 🙂
So weird, that you can’t use it for your dry skin, i would have thought it suits you well. But you should be able to take it for your body or even cuticles!!
And scent is always one of my most important points when it comes to a product. If i can’t stand the smell, i wont use it, even if the effect is awesome.
      Thanks again :*

  7. The packaging is beautiful!!! x

  9. I kinda sorta love Tarte’s maracuja oil, minus the small gripe of the scent. Smells slightly like cooking oil. But the purple container and ikat top is cute 🙂

    Best,
    Phoebe
