Hello my Beauties!
Hope your Christmas celebration was a nice experience this year and you are ready to get the New Year 2013 started.
As a little addition to the Christmas presents, i got my Glossybox – Golden Christmas Edition delivered right the day before Christmas Eve. It’s one of the special limited edition boxes, that you could purchase back in november for 30 euro.
Obviously it’s more expensive than the usual Glossybox subscription, but the products that were promised supposed to have an over all price of 70 euro and higher.
I wasn’t really sure if this Christmas box was really worth it, but of course my curiosity & excitement were stronger.
So what did i get?!
Biodroga Power Moist Mask - 50ml / 27,50 Euro
is a “refreshing, silky mask that nourishes, pampers and protects moisture-deficient skin. Optimizes and stabilizes the skin’s moisture balance over the long term and promotes skin elasticity and diminishes fine lines and wrinkles. Gently stimulates collagen and elastin formation in the skin and reduces tautness and dryness. For moisture-deficient skin. Suitable even for neurodermatitis.”
BECCA Beach Tint - 7ml / 25.00 Euro
“BECCA Beach Tint is a beautifully blendable crème stain for cheeks and lips that suits all skin types. Kiss-proof and water-resistant, it dries to a perfect, streak-free, non-greasy and non-drying finish. Each shade is deliciously scented in its synonymous name.”
BM Beauty Lash Thickening Mascara - 8ml / 15 Euro
“Black lash thickening mascara from BM Beauty is infused with minerals with a blend of nourishing oils and waxes. Contains beeswax, sunflower oil, vitamin E and rosemary leaf extract. Use to achieve full, voluminous lashes without clumping. Cruelty free. BUAV and PETA approved.”
Kryolan Professional Make-Up High Gloss - 4ml / 16 Euro
Brilliant Lip Shine in Catwalk
“High Gloss is a newly developed lip gloss with special pearl pigments based on Mica providing the lips with extraordinary radiance.”
Elite Models Strass Liner Black – 2,5ml / 11,90 Euro
The perfect eyeliner for the festive occasions. It’s waterproof and gives your eyes a diamond shimmer.
Nails INC London Lowndes Square nail polish – 10ml / 13 Euro
“A dusky grey lilac shade. Lowndes Square is an understated, chic shade guaranteed to impress.”
False Lashes by Glossybox & a golden make-up bag as two additional goodies

Everything came in full size and i really liked how the box itself, the card and the ribbon were coordinated in sparkling black and gold. Very festive & shiny. The products are really high-class and mostly match one theme as well.
I didn’t quite get the color pick of the nail polish, but i guess Glossybox was trying to fit all the different kind of tastes out there. As for me, i’m not a big fan of plain simple clean creme polishes, but the dusky grey-ish lilac is not a bad color at all. But shouldn’t it be something more in red or gold? Just wondering…
I can’t wait to properly get to use these products and see how good they really are. Already loving the strass liner. It’s a great dark black with many shiny sparkles in it. Exactly what i want for this time of the year. I’m especially interested in testing the Beach tint and the Biodroga face mask. Have you tried any of these products before? As far as I know, Becca is already quite popular and slowly becomes a more known brand here in Germany.
So in my eyes it was the right decision to get this special box. A total price of 108,40 Euro isn’t bad at all for a holiday box.
If you wish a review on any particular product, let me know in the comments below.
What about you my Beauties?? Have you purchased any kind of party/glamour/Christmas box this year? Please share if you did.
Wishing everyone a fabulous last week of 2012 for now.

Awww thank you so much my dear polish lover

I’ve nominated out sweetjellybean too, so she should feel really nominated too
I’m not familiar with the brand of that mascara. Glad to here that it’s fine

You know you have to really use a mascara for around 2-3 weeks to be able to tell how it works. I find that when it gets little dryer is works usually better than in the very beginnig. So i’ll see.
December 27, 2012 at 9:31 pm
Agree with you on that. I find that there is too much product in the beginning which will cause clumbing. But on the other hand, I’ve once tried a mascara (can’t remember which one) that I trow out the very first day. With some products you can tell it right away I guess. I stick with my Lancome Hypnose Drama mascare for now

hehe oh yes i totally get that!!
Well i will keep you posted on this subject.

everything looks lovely , esp the Becca Beach tint! x
December 27, 2012 at 8:53 pm
It has quite a nice texture actually. I don’t have many creamy blushes, so this is a whole new experience for me.

Oh fancy! I love those lashes….you totally need to wear them!!!!!
December 28, 2012 at 2:35 pm
Yes and doing some serious “killin with a gaze”
December 28, 2012 at 8:20 pm
I stopped my GlossyBox subscription months ago as I just didn’t like what it was giving me… I’m not sure I’d have been happy with their choices of products in this one myself, but that beach tint looks lovely! I might give it a go myself!

i think over a year ago i had the regular subsciption for the Glossybox, that only lasted for 2 month, than i switched over to Douglas box (for a year or so) and during sep/oct/nov i had the pink box. This one was just a one time thing and actually im quite happy with the selection. Just for the nail polish, i would pick another more festive color.

Wow! What a great beauty box! I want, I want! I must really try one of these boxes and see what they’re like. I’m only scared that I might get hook, you see. hehe. That polish captured me right away as I was scrolling down. I’d love to see all the swatches on these products!
Have a great New Year Luchessa! Thanks so much for being awesome and always encouraging in many ways. You definitely inspire me!

Aww thank you my sweet jellybean

I had 3 different box subscriptions so far and canceled them all after a while. First one i had for only 2 month, the second one for a year and the last one for 3 month.
This Glossybox was a one time thing and i was excited to see whats so special about it and if it’s worth the price. I have not been dissaponted so far.
About the polish – i have a better idea. As this is totally not my kind of polish, i will not be opening it. Rather i decided to do a small giveaway in january (good way to start a new year!), where i’m gonna include a NYC polish of the same color family and a few other things as well. I want someone to enjoy the polish (someone like you?!) who does appreciate pastel colors.
And yes you really do inspire me to give my best in what i do. Thank you. xoxo

Oh another wonderful giveaway! You’re amazing Luchessa! i can’t wait! And I’m so happy to hear that I inspire a great blogger like you!
All the best in 2013!
December 30, 2012 at 1:13 am
Glossy seems so fun, except that I don’t use any makeup at all except nail polish and light colored lip balms once in a while (:
December 30, 2012 at 1:42 am
Well why not taking the new year as a good excuse to try new things?!
no one says you have to start using something bright & bold.
This can make your eyes look so much bigger!
Maybe a nice every day eyeshadow and a really good mascara?
December 30, 2012 at 1:45 am
Hm, I’m not sure, some of my friends that used to look so pretty without makeup scare me to death in these days when the ain’t wear any, don’t wanna look as a walking dead the days when I don’t use it
December 30, 2012 at 1:47 am
haha good point. But hey im not saying you have to, just if you are curious, you can always add something to your makeup collection
Give it a thought for the 2013
December 30, 2012 at 1:54 am
Haha
A new colored lip balm maybe (a) or maybe that BECCA Beach Tint, makeup is dangerous things (:0
December 30, 2012 at 1:55 am
Oh yes something like a cream blush is a nice idea, makes your cheeks look fresh. Becca turned out to be quite a nice product and you can’t over do it, since its so well blendable.
December 30, 2012 at 12:43 pm
Wow I would have bought the whole box just for the Nails Inc polish and Becca Beach Tint–what an awesome box! I don’t think those beauty sampling companies understand that people would probably be willing to pay more if they included BETTER samples in their boxes!!
What shade in the Beach Tint did you get? I recently bought a mini Beach Tint duo at Sephora and LOVED the formula. It’s so silky, so light, and so easy to use–I love it! Can’t wait to get my hands on more!
December 30, 2012 at 1:55 pm
Hey, thanks for stopping by.
The Beach Tint that i got was in the color Grapefruit and i was happy it was a suiting color for my skin (since it could have gone so wrong) This is my first Becca product and i’m excited to really give it a try.
I think my main reason to stop all the subscriptions, was the fact that i didn’t like the samples that much. I had 3 different box services. But i think the special occasion ones are always better, since they really think it throught.
Do you know what i mean?!
December 31, 2012 at 1:39 am
I see people talking about these all the time- I’ve never been intrigued as I’d no doubt get a load of rubbish!
December 31, 2012 at 2:52 am
well i see your point there. And even if i dont have any subsciptions at the moment, i have to say there is a huge variaty of boxes on the market. Not only are they makeup related, but also magazins, healthy snacks, body care products ect. So the questions is basicly to find the right fit for your needs.
January 1, 2013 at 9:58 pm
Oh that lilac nail polish! I love!
January 6, 2013 at 8:31 pm
Great post! Had I known about this limited edition box by Glossybox I might have tried it. I haven’t tried any of the beauty boxes yet because I don’t really want to commit myself to a subscription. I did sign up for the December box of Ma Boîte A Beauté (a french beauty box) which should be arriving next week. But the main reason I am trying it is because there is no subscription required. You pay for a box, you get it. If you don’t like it, then you don’t have to pay for any more boxes.
January 6, 2013 at 10:09 pm
Yes i knwo what you mean Kareen. The thing is there are SO many different kind of boxes out there. Even natural food related ones. You can just google for those, i’m sure you will find a whole list. Than you just need to select the right one for you.
I’ve seen some 3month subscribtions, soyou dont have to go for a whole year, but most of them you can just quit after a month. Its pretty easy.
January 7, 2013 at 4:32 am
Wow, this is an awesome box! I have hesitated getting any kind of subscription box except for Julep, but I think I’m going to have to give them a try this year. They seems to be getting pretty good with a good selection of products. I guess what has always held me back is that I’m afraid I will get really crappy boxes and then I’ll be all upset. lol I think you really scored with this one.
